The myceliated planter by MYKOR is not only organic but also fully functional so you can buy with confidence!

Mycelium is the vegetative part of a fungus, consisting of a mass branching and thread-like structure (Hyphae) and the studio uses its natural capacity to digest organic matter. It is the "root" of mushrooms and it works as a natural glue as it is used to bind wood waste with natural dyes. The mushroom strains used will bind the waste material, grow in the span of four weeks in the right environmental conditions, involve minimum use of water and air dry naturally.

The UK is home to 1% percent of the world's population but consumes 3% of the world's wood. Using wood waste frees up landfill space, contributes to sequestering of carbon, reduces carbon dioxide emissions from processing virgin material, and contributes to sustainable use of natural resources.

How to recycle: Produced with local waste and inherently carbon-neutral, they are easily decomposed in as little as 45 days.
