The +52 Wooden Step Stool is multifunctional and can be used as a step, somewhere to sit or as a side table. Made in Belgium, the stool is conceived to challenge the use of overexploited wood types and make more sustainable choices aesthetically, economically and ecologically.
Betula Pendula or Birch is a deciduous hardwood tree that is rather short-lived. Birch trees grow fast and produce fine-grained, pale, hard and fibrous wood. Despite its exceptional qualities, birch wood is nowadays mostly used as paper pulp or for the production of textile fibres such as lyocell and viscose, also processed into birch plywood.
