The +52 Wooden Step Stool is multifunctional and can be used as a step, somewhere to sit or as a side table. Made in Belgium, the stool is conceived to challenge the use of overexploited wood types and make more sustainable choices aesthetically, economically and ecologically.
Salix Alba or Willow is a fast-growing and often a dominant vegetation in peripheral habitats such as fen communities, wet woodlands, tundra, mountain tree lines, shorelines, riverbanks and vacant or disturbed land. Today, willow wood is rarely used as timber albeit its excellent qualities, fast and easy growth.
Each object is engraved to indicate the origin of the material to support an informed relationship between resource, processes and user.
