Handcrafted in Channapatna, a town renowned for its toy-making craftsmanship, the SPICE GRINDER is made from fast-growing local trees harvested from non-forest and non-agricultural land. The gloss finish is achieved through the application of shellac—a non-toxic natural resin secreted by the insect Laccifer Lacca—and dyed with natural dyes extracted from plants such as Turmeric, Indigo, Kumkum, Manjishta, Catechu and Ratanjyoth tree bark.
The SPICE GRINDER, available in two sizes and five colours – Light Red, Dark Green, Light Green, Yellow and Dark Red - is fitted with a "best in class" CrushGrind® grinding mechanism that is extremely durable, resistant to wear and corrosion, and comes with a 25-year warranty.
Product Care: The product is best kept in normal living room or kitchen conditions away from direct sunlight. Moisture can cause the wood to swell, potentially damaging the lacquer. Prevent contact with water including damp countertops. Cleaning is best done by simply wiping the grinder with a dry, clean cloth.
